Having been in existence for 60 years the school has graduated several thousand pupils, the intention is therefore to get commitment from at least 1000 former pupils of Lenz High to pledge a minimum of R200 per year on an ongoing basis into a development fund.

Lenasia Secondary School's present sources of income includes: School fees, a government subsidy and extensive fund-raising undertaken by the school management team and the School Governing Body.

The demographic of the community that the school is currently serving means that learners are often not exposed to the type of initiatives that learners in private schools have the opportunity to participate in.
